This Shallow Draft Boat is a Cinch to Build

As it originally appeared in the January 1942 issue of “Outdoor Life”

Bob reveals his engineer/handyman side with his plans for the “Light Dew”. His detailed diagrams and inventive do it yourself methods are impressive to say the least. He seems to have thought of every consideration and created a boat that is so simple to make, he built it in his front yard “with a couple of packing boxes for sawhorses”. Bob’s enthusiastic description of the ease of construction and superior use of his craft is contagious. You may find yourself mentally building it along with him as he goes step by step through his detailed instructions.
