A Moose and a Goose

This story chronicles the divided hunting trip in the James Bay Region, divided because the party is hunting for both moose and goose. The benefit to us is that we get not only a suspenseful account of Bob’s moose hunt, we also get a lot of great characterization and dialog with the other members of the hunting party. In the end, Bob seems to think the trip was disorganized and that he and his “fellow nimrods” could have had a much more successful venture. But, as his friends so aptly point out, “Perfect balance-big game hunting and waterfowl side by side. Just about fifty-fifty, wouldn’t you say - a moose and a goose”, and Bob does manage to get one of each.
