This hunting tale does turn out to be one of man pitted against nature in the big hunt in a number of ways. When Bob bags his deer he prevails not only over them, but over the lions that were also pursuing them as well. This deepens his triumph and makes it the ultimate hunting experience– beating out nature on two levels.
