This is a wonderful story about how things were in South America when Bob was there. While his account of what he saw on his car trip through South America is very realistic and does not attempt to romanticize anything, it is not discouraging. He claims that “all you do is go there; anyone can do it” and goes on to give tips on everything from clothes to cameras to conditions to cars to canned heat stoves. A very thorough rendering of what he learned on his travels and found important enough to share.
